Angela Nguyen came to E.T. in November of 2008. A licensed minister, she had been a children's pastor for 10 years prior to arriving at E.T. She has also been a piano teacher, directed children's choirs, led an on-campus school Bible study for kids, and spoken at kids' retreats. Through the years, she has also been active in Missionettes, camps, and conducting community outreaches. Her heart's desire for children is that kids find their own purpose in Christ – to be worshipers, prayer warriors, and servants of God. Angela believes that kids’ church should not only be a fun place that kids want to be and a safe place that parents feel comfortable with, but also a place for kids to find and fulfill their own purpose in ministry.
Angela grew up in Owasso, Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1998, having majored in music and psychology and where she became a member of SAI, Psi Chi, and OMTA. She completed her master's degree in 2002 at TU in Clinical Psychology. Angela met her husband, Andrew, in 1997 and they were married in 2006. Andrew also volunteers in the children's department and especially enjoys teaching and directing the media output of the children's department.
